About the event
Welcome to our trauma-informed housekeeping workshop with a focus on spatial health and wellness! In this transformative session, we delve into a holistic approach to cleaning and organizing spaces while prioritizing psychological well-being and functionality.Â
Imagine a space where every corner holds the potential for healing and restoration. Our workshop, inspired by the principles of spatial health and wellness, guides participants through the art of "reading a room." Here, we learn to discern not only the physical clutter but also the psychological and emotional obstacles that may impede our ability to create and maintain a harmonious environment.Â
Central to our exploration is the concept of trauma-informed care, recognizing that our environments can either nurture or hinder our mental health. You will gain practical insights and techniques on how to navigate cleaning and organizing processes with sensitivity and mindfulness, particularly when facing neurodivergence or periods of heightened stress. We emphasize the importance of pacing oneself and understanding when to seek support, fostering an environment of self-compassion and effective self-care practices.Â
Through interactive exercises and discussions, participants will develop a deeper understanding of:Â
- Reading the Room: Identifying psychological and functional barriers within a space.Â
- Trauma-Informed Approaches: Applying principles that promote safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.Â
- Neurodivergence and Stress Navigation: Techniques tailored to individuals navigating stress or neurodivergence, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in housekeeping practices.Â
- Seeking Help: Recognizing when additional support or resources may be beneficial and how to access them effectively.Â
By the end of our training, you will not only possess practical skills in trauma-informed housekeeping but also a renewed sense of empowerment in your ability to curate spaces that promote well-being and resilience. Join us as we embark on this journey towards creating environments that support healing, growth, and holistic self-care.Â
