Housekeeping is a transactional service provided to complete tasks in the home.
Self Care Housekeeping is a spatial health and wellness provider focusing on the health and wellbeing of the home's inhabitants. In addition to providing immediate, in-home supports such as cleaning, organizing & decluttering, meal prep, and home management, our professionals are trained to identify stress, trauma, and dysfunction that is causing the challenges with upkeep as well as providing solutions needed to improve overall wellbeing for our clients.
Self Care professionals receive on-going training related to spatial health, home care, mental health, among other areas to ensure their efficacy and safety.
It depends. As you know, Self Care Housekeeping is a spatial health and wellness service, which differs significantly from housekeeping. For some, it's a simple visit or reoccurring service to keep the house in order. For others, it's longer term care that requires resolving 2 or more barriers to positive spatial health.
One important thing to remember is that if you longer-term care: be kind to yourself and trust the process. As cliche as it might sound, it is easy to become overwhelmed when things are not immediately resolved inb the home. If it took a series of happenings and time passing for things to get out of hand, it will also take time to reconcile the impact of those things. If your care takes time, don't panic. It's just the process happening.
We understand that things change. Sometimes, when the visit is upon us, it can be a little more than what our clients can handle at the time. We double and triple check our appointments just to be sure that they are still happening. We do require a firm confirmation in order to show up.
This is because of our experiences where we assumed the visit was still on based on an earlier confirmation, but our clients weren't actually available physically, mentally, or emotionally. Please respond to your check in phone calls and texts!
Currently, we offer in-home services in Allegheny County, PA and Detroit, MI and virtual care to anywhere in the US. We are working on expanding. If you would like us to come to your town, send us a note and let us know!
At Self Care Housekeeping, we take illness and prevention seriously. We strive to maintain a clean and healthy environment for our clients at all times. If you or a member of your household are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment to a later date. Additionally, our team of cleaners are trained to follow strict protocols when it comes to preventing the spread of germs and viruses. We also require that our clients inform us immediately if they have been exposed to any illnesses or viruses. Our top priority is the health and well-being of our clients and our team, and we take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
Because our staff work with many clients with various health profiles, we need to be very conscientious of risk reduction. For that reason, if a member of the household is known to be ill during the time of a scheduled appointment and the appointment is not rescheduled or the illness is concealed, your services from Self Care Housekeeping may be in jeopardy of being discontinued.
